A great read ( & re-read)

This books gets picked almost every night by our 2 1/2 year old. He's probably heard it 100 times & knows the words by heart. In fact, about 5 pages from the end I stop reading & he finishes for me. The story is good & almost brings tears to my eyes (as I am frequently away on travel too & know what it's like both to leave & come home).

With colorful, vibrant illustrations and simple text, this book has the formula to be any boy's favorite. My sons love looking at the large, detailed drawings of the big rig and all its surroundings. The storyline is simple and the flow of the book is very nice. It is a well-loved book in our home. So much so, in fact, that my 3-yr-old "reads" it to me!

This is a great children's book written in the perspective of a little boy about his truck driver father. Wonderful art. Nice plot about a hard working dad. A pleasant read, I highly recommend.
