Extensive, but probably your standard graduate level counseling textbook on the complex subject of co-occurring disorders (COD). Clear and to the point, no frills overview of the topic and reference to provide sound care of COD, the text offers a discussion of COD for each of the mental health conditions found in the DSM IV. If mental illness requires involved assessment and treatment and if substance abuse the same, dual diagnosis is all that much more involved. This is your standard text for COD for students and entry-level counselors in the field.
