Desert Rose by Lois Richer Jayne Rose's dream to run her grandmother's Palm Springs flower shop is about to be dashed. Until she meets a handsome man who helps make it come true. Suddenly romance and roses are blooming. Yet Ben Cummings isn't who he says he is...or is he? Bluegrass Easter by Allie Pleiter A "veterinarian on sabbatical," widowed Paul Sycamore is not interested in answering his new neighbor's constant questions about her expectant sheep. But the comfort his child finds on Audrey Lupine's Middleburg, Kentucky, farm just may open his heart.
EASTER PROMISES, two great stories in one book. DESERT ROSE, by Lois Richer The Desert Rose was a cute and unique idea for a story. Many scenarios tend to play out in story after story but for me, I have yet to read such a storyline as this. It was refreshing and well written. BLUEGRASS EASTER, by Allie Pleiter As always, Allie does not disappoint with her humor. Really, she has some of the greatest lines, always bringing a smile to my face or a chuckle from my lips. I loved Paul's story, and how healing occurred in his life. Loved the transformation of Audrey, and how though she didn't seem to be a "kid" person, was able to connect with Lily, helping to bring her and Paul together.
Warm, fun and funny!

I was captivated from the first. The very human characters in both novellas draw you right in. Some of the conflicts are standard, but the story has you pulling for Jayne and Ben (Desert Rose) and Audrey and Paul (Bluegrass Easter). Added joke: Audrey Lupine ("lupine" has to do with wolves) raises sheep for yarn! And she's rather OCD, which combined with a seven and three-quarters girl belonging to a widower who lives next door, makes for some hilarious interactions.
