The lovely ladies in red and purple are at it again, and they're not saving the best for last-they're eating dessert first! Following the hugely successful The Red Hat Society Cookbook, the Hatters are dishing up a second helping of all new lip smacking, finger licking desserts for any occasion. From the simply scrumptious to the divinely decadent, you're sure to find something here that will gleefully spoil your supper. For the Red Hat Society, "fun after fifty" is the mantra for the more than hundreds of thousands of members. And what could be more fun than skipping the salad or passing on the pork chops and going straight for the payoff. The more than 200 new recipes include: Razzle Dazzle Berry Pie (page 68), Diva Date Bars (page 165), Chocolate Chile Bread Pudding (page 232), Old Southern Grated Sweet Potato Pudding (page 204), Grasshopper Tarts (page 223), Tipsy Truffles (page 252), To-Die-For Wedding Punch (page 276). I absolutely love this cookbook. There are recipes for just about anything you want to make. The ingredient list is home cook friendly. No surprise ingredients, no having to go to gourmet stores to find what you need. As a collector of cookbooks I like finding books with recipes from home cooks. Not that the famous chef books are bad. It's just I like homey, family tested recipes alot. I would reccomend this book for dessert lovers and cookbook collectors. The original Red Hat Society Cookbook is also very good.
