A new mom's perspective

I received this book from my husband's stepmother after the birth of our son. It is a short and sweet book, but spoke volumes. Each page contains a snippet of wisdom to help keep things in perspective. Says things like, "Everything goes better with giggles" "Expect to fall in love everyday" "You can never take too many pictures, Make sure you are in some of them, too" - even has a place in the beginning to put the gift-givers phone number with instructions to call anytime. I bought a second copy to dismantle and frame as reminders. I expect the rest of the series to be just as thoughtful. Though the cover is a bit feminine, the illustrations inside are gender neutral and of course the messages are for any new mother.

My mom gave me this book the day after I got home from the hospital. I was so exhausted and yet so in love with my baby, all at the same time. I felt so overwhelmed. I cried when I read this: it provided much needed understanding and encouragement. This little book holds a huge amount of wisdom. A great gift for new moms.
