Books come and go in and out of my life, but "Story of the Soul" by W.H. Church will stay with me along with my Bible for the rest of my stay here on earth. One has to take your time as there is so much information offered in order to digest. I have had to read and re-read to "get it". Lots of new "thoughts" to ponder which brings a peaceful content feel about life and why I am here. (Not that I've figured it out yet, ha-ha).
Edgar Cayce's story of the soul

Contrary to another review present here, I think this book is wonderful. W.H. Church does a wonderful job of gluing together massive amounts of information in a small book. This is the kind of book that one will read and re-read for years to come. I admit, it takes some thought to process the information and it is true that the book seemed as if it was dictated to a stenographer rather than penned by hand; in this way, the author does not write in a strait and logical line as most other authors do. Blavatski's views were also churned into this book, thus filling some of Cayce's blank spots. I think he chose a perfect person in selecting Blavatski; she was a wise and intuitive person who founded Theosophy. I especially enjoyed the chapters referring to Atlantis. In short, I place this book among my favorites along with "The Mystical Life of Jesus" and "Mansions of the Soul".
Thanks for a Larger Vision

I've read this book 3 times. It is sometimes difficult to follow (the concepts are so big and in some cases radically new - 2 "Adams"?) and the author sometimes comes across a bit patronizing. But, if you're interested in reading about the "bigger picture" of life - why we are here, where we really are on the scale of soul evolution, you really should take a look. Some may laugh at the notion of reincarnation, Atlantis and a soul that had had 33 incarnations by the time he was born as Jesus. But my own intuition tells me I've been given a huge spiritual gift.I found it to be inspiring, challenging and thought provoking.

This book, althought short, took me 2 months to read. I had to keep re-reading chapters to absorb the information and sometimes cross-reference it. Was something that I was truly searching for, the beginnings and the tie-in to all of humanity. It may be a supposition, but much food for thought here. I will be re-reading this soon, many times. Most thought provoking if one is open to all.
If You Read One Book in Your Life, This Should Be It!

I started reading this book at 6:00 AM and did not put it down until I finished it twelve hours later. I have read a lot of self-help books in my life, but this one actually changed my life. The answers are all here. Ever wonder about the pyramids, Atlantis, The flat altars found in the dense South American jungles, ancient advanced civilizations? All of the answers are here. Read it with an open mind and let yourself absorb it. What a wonderful experience! This book is a story of the soul from the time it was created. It offers an explanation of what we are doing here and why. It will explain why one child is born into the lap of luxury while another dies of starvation at the age of three in Biafra. It will explain love at first site and why you despise someone on your first meeting for no apparent reason. It will give meaning to your life and your circumstances. More importantly, without preaching, it will help you discover ways to change those circumstances, IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO SO. Forget the self help books. Read this one and enjoy
