The text to Learn the basics of transistor design from
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 27 years ago
I used this text in college and the teacher was the author, my father also learned his circuit theory from the author. Its focus is on practical transistor design fundamentals. A lot of fine examples for illustration, and the problems leads the learning student from easy to hard problems in simple steps. There are a lot of newer books available on the subject but this covers all the fundamental transistor theory that a design engineer needs for background to move forward in the engineering curriculum and does so in a clear manner. None of the key models needed for more sophisticated modeling are glossed over. The author's experience as a teacher is what makes this a strong text. Since understanding of the sophisticated design issues in later courses are dependent upon thoroughly knowing the basics, this is the book to learn them from.
