Introducing Ellen, the Eloise of Carson City, Nevada. Is she a world-renowned detective who lives in an 11-star, super-deluxe hotel, or just a young girl living with her parents at their modest desert hotel? Full color.
A fun look at how a children use their imagination and sometimes gets ahead of themselves! I think everyone's guilty of that now and again! A delightful read for young and old with exceptional art by Kelly Denato! The illustrations heighten Ellen's imaginary world and invite our own imaginations to have some fun!

My daughter LOVES THIS BOOK!!! Every childrens book I see usually has some kind of computer generated art or something else really lame but the art in this book is AMAZING. What imagination and color!! Kelly Denato is clearly an engaged, thoughtful, and articulate artist. The fantasy/reality diptychs are so stunning and clever. Capturing the imagination of a child (with a book no less) in this day and age is more difficult rocket science. This is a grand achievement. When's the next book coming out!?!?! Ellen dolls? Maybe a cartoon? congrats!!

From the first moment I saw the smiling wonder in Ellen's face on the cover, I knew this was going to be good. Then I opened the book to find it was ten times the fun I had anticipated!! The illustration is incredibly whimsical and playful - it takes you inside the rich imagination of Ellen and her world. The kids absolutely love this book and continue to request it at bedtime. They love the different characters and laugh out loud when they turn the pages. I can't wait to see whats next for this gifted artist!

5 stars? I give this book 11 stars! The artwork in, Ellen's 11-Star Spectacular Super-Deluxe Hotel is amazing! I can just imagine a child falling asleep with this book everynight, begging her parents to read it over and over and over.
