Good for a potentially dry topic

If you are buying this book, it is most likely for a class, as opposed to some relaxing evening reading.
If you are buying for the former reason, then you can be at ease; this book takes a potentially dry topic and is able to deliver the subject matter with a combination of academics, short example stories and eye catching info boxes in the margins.
If you are buying this book for the latter reason... to each their own I suppose.
