Good books but I like the other one.

Very informative, but I like the other Penguin Encyclopedia of Ancient civitilzation better.

A general view of the civilizations of the classical era, roughly from 550 BC to 500 AD. Sufficiently general to cover the period and the civilizations within a nicely printed 275 page book, yet with sufficient detail of life to interest the reader and draw him into the author's portrayal of those worlds.Enjoyable and well written with numerous maps, line drawings, and color plates.
