THE SERVIS provides an iron clad guarantee that there will be neither scandals nor revelations. Billionaire Kevin Kora's energy division. KORA ENERGY, is drilling for oil off the coast of Guyana. He decides to holiday in a secluded resort in Guyana after a bruising takeover battle in the Canadian oil patch. His pastime is photographing the big cats: lions, tigers, cougars, and jaguars. His immediate interest is Guyana's jaguars. His party includes his son Guy, a respected global environmentalist in charge of KORA MEDIA; his bodyguard, Alistair Hunt plus a helper in charge of photographic paraphernalia. One strand of the novel explores Kevin Kora's involvement with THE SERVIS. The Bothas are targeted by THE SERVIS. The more powerful feel entitled to dominate the weaker. This pattern of behavior is replicated in various situations in the novel. Powerful men versus less powerful women.
