It was an immense honor to musically collaborate with the eminent Chilean writer, and National Literature Prize winner, Antonio Sk rmeta. Beautiful and thoughtful lyrics from Antonio serve as the inspiration for the accompanying music that I wrote. This book presents our musical scores with art from superb Chilean and American artists. Deepest thanks and gratitude to artists Elby Huerta, Nora Preperski-Sk rmeta, Amelia C. Joynes, Brian Jacobs, and Clarissa Jakobsons. Additionally, I am very grateful to Mayita Westcott for translating the words of Antonio Sk rmeta into English. Incredible musicians have performed these pieces: the amazing tenor Ricardo Tamura and the accomplished pianist Lucy Arner (piano).
