She explains functions of each topic area(bones, tendons, ligaments, muscles, skin, lungs, heart, etc.)to enable Horse Owners to practise preventative medicine and thereby prevent injuries from occuring. The author covers stresses for each area, common areas of injury and the whys of such; rehabilitation techniques--with the pros and cons of each; short and long term weaknesses that can occur; and much, much more!This book is highly recommended for the Horse Owner or Rider's Library.
