This text is an excellent resource for anyone who is serious about applying ethical theory to everyday life (police or otherwise). The problems and issues posed in the text can be applied to real life situations because they make you think critically about why you make the decisions that you do. This book is the best law enforcement book on ethical theory that I have read to date (Masters of Divinity in Philosophy & Ethics). Every law enforcement instructor and supervisor should own this book if they want to think critically about ethics. The one-star review is not an accurate measurement of this books applicability. I have been a law enforcement instructor for 10 years and now teach in a classroom setting as well. I will spend a lot of time reviewing this text. There is also a dictionary of terms in the back if you need to refresh what you have previously learned.
