More recently in 2010, with a three billion dollar proof of funds, George made a bid to purchase MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer) in an effort to build the world's largest television network.Since 2001, George has been an active national and worldwide advisory board member of A Child Is Missing (ACIM). ACIM operates as the first response program that works exclusively with law enforcement in the first few critical hours of a child's disappearance. George is also the Co-Founder of the Missing Children's Registry-a global registry of missing children.In George's efforts to raise funds and awareness for ACIM, he created the organization Climb for America's Children (CFAC). Under the banner of CFAC he climbed Mt. McKinley and then Mt. Everest. Amazingly, George climbed and summited Mt. Everest just two-and-a-half months after undergoing five consecutive cancer surgeries.
