This is a beautifully illustrated book that tells of the special relationship between a boy and his dog, "Boo," while reflecting the author's obvious love of nature. Dean Bennett is a well known, highly regarded Maine environmentalist, who has written and illustrated a number of impressive works on Maine and New England's natural heritage. This children's book, his first, shows clearly that what lies at the heart of his environmentalism is love of the wonders of the natural world.
