Very Good Introduction

I was given this book by a friend. It is perfect for a beginner like me. I'm not sure what the other post was talking about - I think the examples and photographs were fine. It was easy to follow and I would recommend this book to anyone beginning the hobby of scrapbooking.

After having my first child, my husband and I took an obscene amount of pictures. We then would look at the pictures, laugh, and allow them to gather in the corner in a big pile. Once our daughter began sleeping through the night (whew!), I finally had an opportunity to organize all of these memories.This book was a lifesaver. I particulary liked the layout ideas. The author not only wonderfully provides several 'how to' sections, but also detailed examples to follow. For any first time 'scrapbooker', I would highly recommend this book.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the "Everything Scrapbooking Book." Ms. Barr gave me so many good ideas presented in such a clear and enjoyable format. I have been putting her ideas to work now for a couple of weeks and feel like I have only gotten to the tip of the iceberg. I plan to make scrapbooks as holiday gifts for all of my family and this book is what will make them extra special. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for the definitive source on improving your scrapbooking skills.

This is it! Just as the title says, this book has everything one needs to know about scrapbooking, from the novice to the pro. Ms. Barr's comprehensive guide provides the reader with plenty of ideas. It is enjoyable to read and is a valuable addition to the scrapbooker's cache of materials.

I've always been apprehensive about trying scrapbooking until I read this book. I was afraid I wasn't creative enough, or that I would ruin my pictures with the first cut. Ms. Barr gave me the confidence to trust my intuition and to just go for it. I'm already on my second scrapbook and I'm having a GREAT time! This book is easy to read and follow, and her page ideas are just great. I'm giving this book as Christmas gifts for everyone I know who wants to try scrapbooking.
