Reading theses experiences, which take a horse from a foal through the first trail ride, taught me a lot about taking your time, "listening" to your horse, and thinking about why he or she is doing or not doing something. It also made me think about trying more than one solution to a problem. Great read.

Not only is this a charming set of short tales about working with horses, it is packed with the wisdom earned from years of listening to and learning from our four hooved companions. Andrews has selected some of his best experiences to share with the reader who is interested in knowing more about how to pay attention to and utilize the messages our horses send to us. An easy style and touches of humor make this a quick rewarding read. I hope to hear more from this author on his (and my) favorite subject.
