The Last of the Swampers

This book is great for small children, particularly those who have never seen the Okefenokee Swamp in Southeastern Georgia. The swamp is a beautiful and mysterious place with unique vegetation and animal life.This book is special to me however, because if features my grandfather Johnny Hickox. He is a true swamper and one of the last who actually grew up living in the Swamp. He is a wonderful guide and story-teller and this book reminds me of my childhood.If you have never seen the Okefenokee, I encourage you to visit.
