Stumbling on an unusual homicide while on a business trip to Pittsburg, detective Matthew Sides and his Newcomer partner, George, uncover a devastating series of murders that are based on prejudice.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This was a very believable instalment in the small universe of Alien Nation. The characters were spot on, pun intended. Once again, Matt and George are up against the strange and pull through to the end. Fun Newcomer names pop up too, my favorite being Ross Vegas. Ulitmately, this was an interesting look into a business trip from hell, complete with what Angelinos are like in cold climates. The only thing that got me was the authors' self-insertion, which I felt was in poor taste. Too bad there weren't more novels in this series besides the scant eight that came out.
It's my favorite of all the Alien Nation's Books

What I liked best is that there was never any time when reading this book that I was board. It kept me reading until I finished it. ( 3 AM THAT IS!!! )What is really fun about reading the Alien Nations books is that you can actually picture George and Matt doing these things. The authors have a good grasp on the characters throughout the entire series.
Very well done novel.

This book is spot on with the characters. I loved the names that the authors used for the Newcomer characters. The book keeps you moving and wanting to read _just_ one more chapter. If you liked this one, go for the L.A. Graf Trek novels.
