This book contained photos of everyday folks, and the working class, and their clothing. Books with gorgeous ball gowns and court wear are fabulous to look at but what about people like the rest of us? It went into detail of how women sewed, and what their day to day life of dress was like. Lots of men's clothing was included too. Since I like to make historical clothing for myself to wear, and it's rarely for a ball or court appearance, this was very educational for me.
