FACE-THE-TARGET PUTTING is not new as the old name was sidesaddle putting. The difference is that a long putter is used in FTT putting instead of the old conventional length. This style gives the golfer the advantage of better depth perception for the distance to the hole or target. Each eye gives a line to the target so that a triangle occurs between the eyes and the target. The longer the triangle the farther the target. By facing the target, the golfer is able to pull the putter back and forward in a straight line to the target. With conventional putting of facing the ball, the putter will swing in an arc and not swing in a straight line to make accuracy limited.
