On the morning of February 6, 1978, Grant Mulcahy rises early like he does every day. Monday is the day. He has a lot of work to do at his office. Grant, a young and ambitious attorney, works for a highly regarded law firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Not precisely around the corner from his Leominster, Massachusetts flat is Cambridge. He has a 38-mile drive in front of him. As he puts on his clothes, Grant overhears a radio report about a snowfall that is expected to reach the northeastern part of the United States. He glances out the window of his living room after hearing this news. There doesn't seem to be any danger from the weather.
