My 7 year old daughter picked this book out, and read the entire book in 2 sittings. She loved it! She does not like the "typical" girl books for her age/reading level, like American Girl books. She reads at a 6th grade reading level and it is hard to find books that are emotionally appropriate for her, but still a good read. This book satisfied her desire to read fantasy, but still girly at the same time. We hope that Ms. Badger publishes more in the USA.
