Very Inspiring!

My mom loaned me this book and I finally picked it up to read. I couldn't put it down and I didn't want it to end. I found Mrs. Barker's book to be a wonderfully gentle kick in the spiritual pants. This book would make a great group study, but I just read the chapters. Since it's on loan, I am purchasing my own copy to mark up for a group study. I am also considering giving the book to a non-Christian friend. I found the book to be equally inpirational and evangelical.
Great book for Bible study. Very practical.

Our church just did a Bible study series using this book, and it is one of the best I have seen. Each chapter has a narrative based on Barbara's life experiences. Her transparency is refreshing as she often reveals her own lack of faith. It makes her real. At the back of each chapter is an outline of questions and Bible references to help guide the study portion. With real stories (nobody could make that crazy stuff up!), she illustrates how God triumphs in surprising ways through our weaknesses. It is simply wonderful. I highly recommend it! No ballet required.
