Fangirl has made me want to read Simon Snow books.

I have not read the novel Fangirl, however I really want to after reading this manga adaptation. I also want to read the Simon Snow series, as previously stated. Basically have a Rainbow Rowell book-a-thon. All of the characters were so relatable one way or another, and minus the crippling social anxiety (in the beginning) I basically am Cath. Or aspiring to be her with her passion for words and awesome writing skills, also henceforth major reader following. While it could be considered a codependent trait on Cath's part, I believe the worriment and watching out for her family more comes from a place of love then personal need. Some of the scenes jumped abruptly from one to the other but the small interludes with Simon and Baz helped cut some of the jarring scene transitions and they're fun little bonuses. This is such a fun and wholesome (except for some miner swearing and college age mischief, i.e under-age drinking,) book that I can't wait for further installments of this 4-part series.
