If you're a collector of fat quarters, you know they're colorful, inspiring-and often too darn tempting to pass up. But what can you do with those fun little fabrics once they're yours? We've got your... This description may be from another edition of this product.
The book arrived in decent shape, but I didn’t care for even one of the patterns offered; each was odd, non-symmetrical, and unappealing. I guess if that’s the look you’re going for, you’ll love this book. Me? I’ll be selling it back or donating it to our local guild.
Perfect book for fat quarter-aholics!

I just got this book yesterday, and already love it and can't stop flipping through it. I am a beginning quilter, who has already developed a fabric obsession (especially for quarters). I'm hoping to use this book to make some quilts by Christmas. The patterns seem easy enough for a beginner, but like they would still be fun for someone more advanced. Each pattern uses six fat quarters plus background and border material. There are eight different patterns, but there are beautiful color photos of three or four different quilts made from each pattern, all lying flat, so you can see some possibilities from using different styles and colors of fabric (some bright, bold, and contemporary, others with soft pastels and florals, etc.) with the same pattern. Most patterns are for quilts with finished sizes of 50-something" x 50-something", but there are some both smaller and bigger. There is also a ninth pattern for a fat quarter tote bag.The instructions seem very clear from reading over them, though I have not started to make a quilt with the book yet. This is NOT a book for brand new beginners; some basic knowledge and experience is assumed. Though, there are some tips and instructions in the back on finishing the quilt.

I have made four or five of the quilts in this book! I made a bag from it and everyone tries to "borrow" it! I can't say enough. The writing is clear, accurate, and the photography is excellent!
A terrific book for those who love fat quarters!

M'Liss Rae has a way with writing patterns so that they are easy to follow. Each quilt uses 6 fat quarters and a background fabric. The amount of background fabric varies for each quilt. It is sometimes necessary to add extra fabric for borders. For those of use who collect fat quarters (who can resist a bite size piece of fabric) this is a great resource. Most quilts are lap size. Color pictures show each pattern done in varied fabrics, to show how changing the fabric changes the outcome of the quilt. A terrific book for the quilter's library. A great reference tool, suitable for beginners to expert.
