Cat and her looser boyfriend

The main character Cat investigates but is so stupid to not see her ex-husband was protecting her but throughout she feels she deserved to know why he kept in the dark after his murder. Then the story line continues with a high school ex-boyfriend who has no ambition and lives off Cat's house remodel that was left to her by her ex-husband and Cat believes he forgot to change his will when you can see he hoped to get back together. The boyfriend doesn't even have money to pay for meals so eats at the retreat. The boyfriend complained when Shana (another character) wanted to pay off the first loan before going forward with more remodel work, but in comes boyfriend who said he was counting on that money....Really a looser and can't even when called for dress for the occasion. Who needs to support a boyfriend with no potential except to use as a tool.
