Anyone who has been in the Bay Area during the 60s and 70's, has heard of Juanita. She was a legend among restaurant folk with locations in various far flung parts of the Bay. This compilation of articles brings back great memories of those times and characters.

I lived in Sausalito when Juanita was in her glory serving up grub and sarcastic remarks to the customers that for the most part didn't take her seriously. This book is a treasure trove of information about Juanita's unbelievably crazy life.

Juanita is a true California legend. She is the type of people that shaped and made California what it is. A heart as big as her buffet table. Just don't make her mad!I keep buying this book and giving it to friends.

She is the stuff that legends are made of. Follwing the many adventures of an amazing woman whos heart is bigger than her equally big body, the book starts with her poor upbringing in Oklahoma to running her now legendary restaurants in Northern California.
