It explains everything though you may have to read over and over to understand the legal concepts.

I have used other small-size versions of the Federal Rules. This one is superior because of the format: small enough to be portable, large enough to see longer rules at a glance (such as Fed.R.Civ.P. 26 and 56), and thin enough to fit comfortably in a bag.
