This introduction to ferroelectricity, was written with two goals in mind: first, as an introduction to problems in the field of ferroelectricity for graduate students and research scientists... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is one of the classic books on ferroelectricity. It summarizes the scientific knowledge as of the late 1950's (first edition) at a rather elementary level and also presents a wealth of experimental data accumulated on this vast subject that are mostly valid today. The book does not contain many modern concepts such as the lattice dynamic theory of ferroelectricity. However, key precursor experimental results directly related to many "modern" concepts are summarized in a very systematic fashion. In short, this is a "must have book" for those who are interested in ferroelectricity and ferroelectric materials and I highly recommend it.
