After picking this book up on a lark, I discovered a new and exciting voice in modern literature. Ratushinskaya has a unique and compelling style. I cared about the characters as well as the web of intrigue building around them. But the book is not quite about what you think. The ending reveals her true agenda-not a preachy "now the moral of the story is..." thing, just not what you would expect.
