Finding Jesus: By Embracing the Complete Gospel of Jesus, the Christ.

We live in a world where uncertainty and fear are normal, and we are frustrated by our inability to make it better. To heal the world.
Then why, if Jesus is who He said He was, is the Gospel of Jesus largely ignored by so many churches?
Unless pastors start teaching the Gospel of Jesus as what it is - part of the complete Gospel of Jesus, the Christ - churches will continue believing in an incomplete gospel.
It is up to us, His followers, to usher in the Kingdom of God on Earth, obeying everything He taught. It is the only way to heal the world.

Changing how we understand "what the Gospel is" is hard, but it is right, and it is what Jesus said.
It's been a mantra that "salvation is through faith (belief) and not by works (including serving others as Jesus commanded). And there is the conundrum.
What if we can discern if a person is fully committed to their statement of faith by how they act, or don't act - how they usher in the Kingdom of God on Earth with their lives, or don't.
Because if there is nothing to observe when it is clear to those "born again" that they are to "teach them to obey everything I have commanded you" - then they are like those who call Jesus "Lord, Lord" not meaning its full intent and are forgotten by Jesus and removed from His presence; or those who don't serve the "least of these" and are ordered to depart from Jesus into everlasting fire.
The Church Lost Jesus. It's Not Too Late to Find Him.
This book addresses the two statements above and is written primarily to pastors of Protestant churches in America... particularly those who identify with the Evangelical movement.
(1) Is Jesus the Son of God to be followed and obeyed, or a moral philosopher with good ideas for living? We must recognize that what Jesus taught, commanded, said, and did before His death is as much a part of the Gospel as is salvation based on His resurrection.
(2) Secondarily, it is written to Protestant pastors and denominational leaders as well as others who offer thought-leadership on the church as it evolves toward "ushering in the Kingdom of God on Earth."

The story of Jesus doesn't end with resurrection.
The book goes on to explain how one concept (salvation) eclipsed, over time, the concept Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God on Earth. And - most importantly - it offers practical ways forward toward a "whole" gospel - one that gives equal import to the Kingdom of God on Earth and salvation.

We truly find Jesus by embracing the complete Gospel of Jesus, the Christ.
