I used this book as well as several others (i'm guilty of buying TOO many books...)! This book very much helped me with the detail I needed to do very well in areas I didn't remember from Medical School. As a Pediatrics Resident, I highly recommend this book to fill in "the blanks" so to speak.
THe only review book with CCS case work.

A must have -- read this book and you will pass, Ofcourse you have to do question. Easy to understand and the highlights are on the money-- I am very happy

I have all 3 major books for step 3 - strong medicine, crush the boards and first aid and this is by far the most detailed. The other two are OK but not enough and lack the depth of first aid. I recommend that you go thru this one twice to fortify your knowledge for step 3.
Great resource to review CCS-style mini cases

I used the First Aid for the USMLE Step 3 along with Kaplan Q-bank and did very well on the exam. This book was great to have handy and review when time permitted. I studied all of the CCS cases in the back of the book and found that to be the best resource. Every CCS case I had on the exam could be found in this book. I don't recommend this as your only study source, but it is EXCELLENT for the CCS case review.
