Although the book is fairly light reading, the author uses many clever twists and turns to keep sexually-attracted neighbors Jen St. George and Tre Monroe from realizing they are really enemies in the on-going battle of radio-show personality ratings vs. newspaper advice columnist ratings. At times, the reader can even imagine this turning into an episode of "I Love Lucy" with all its dire consequences. A light fun story that commanded my interest from the start and had me in hysterics before too long. I couldn't put the book down The author brought this story to life with detailed character development and vivid descriptions of settings and scenes. Instead of reading a story about Flamingo Beach and its residents, I felt that I could be the proverbial fly on the wall, able to see and hear all. I can't wait to see what Flamingo Beach has to offer next...

I found Flamingo Place to be a totally captivating read. I laughed so hard my sides ached. Hard to believe Flamingo Beach is a fictitious town in "somewhere" Florida. I loved the little map on the inside created by a real designer. But humor aside, columnist Jen St. George and love interest, radio personality (I guess that's what they're called these days,) Tre Monroe are a match made in heaven. As for the assistant, Chere, what a hoot! She reminds me of Lula in the Evanovich novels. Bravo on character development and a story that moves. I can't wait for the sequel.
