The hero of this Sam Green novel is once again Sam Woolfman. The story begins with an Iranian air bus being blown out of the air by an American battleship. This is an accident but Iran wants revenge. Iran calls upon the services of Ahmed Shabaan(the Falcon) a feared terrorist figure in the Middle East. He agrees to take an American airliner out of the sky. Iran wants it done before the year is over, In Beirut Americans are being seized and held for ransom. The CIA sends in a CIA rescue team to rescue the hostages. Jim Prentiss,Scott Valentin,and Ben Hanold are dispatched to Beirut. Once there they discover that the Beirut CIA staion is being used to smuggle drugs back to America. In the meantime San Woolfman has agreed to help a woman Orla Sheehy locate the missing from the Vatican. Thanks to Woolfman's abilities they are able to force the Vatican to pay damages to Orla. They immediately become a target. The Maronites attempt to kill them both. Flight 103 crashes in Lockerbie Scotland. The airline company contacts Sam to locate the guilty parties who have downed the jet. He finds evidence of the involvement of Iran. He also discovers that Jim Prentiss,Scott Valentin,and Ben Hanold were also on the jet. They plan to return to America to expose the drug selling scheme. Sam has his hands full trying to stay alive and expose the truth.
