Have you ever avoided stepping on a jellyfish so that it wouldn't sting you? Uncover why jellyfish sting, how they clone themselves and glow in the dark, and how they hide from predators. Float along... This description may be from another edition of this product.
My daughter has been facinated with jelly fish for about a year now, and when we went looking at the library we found this book, and have had to read it every night for the last week. This book has beautiful pictures, but simple narrative, that keeps the attention of small children. She has asked for a copy of the book for her 4th birthday.
Floating Jellyfish

This is a nice little book for young learners interested in marine life. As a marine educator I appreciated the amazing photographs, especially those showing the reproductive stages of a sea jelly. The language is very simple yet several science concepts (feeding, reproduction and diversity) were addressed. This book serves as a nice introduction to this group of animals.
