no nothing has a blast fly fishing

First off, I am below a rank amateur fly fisher. I knew absolutely nothing. After reading the book, buying a basic set up ($50), and doing what the book instructed, I had an absolute blast in the trout waters of Yellowstone National Park. The book defines terms, equipment, and presents the ABC's of needs...and NOT needs (very important. Would be simple to spend $500 without blinking an eye). The book slowly, clearly, and precisely took me through necessary prep work, and then to practice sessions of fly casting. The book covered basics of trout habitat, how and why the trout acts, conditions of the river to look for, where/when to cast. The book clearly shows details of line, tying, and...okay, a little confusing initial set up of a reel. The "reading" confusion quickly disappeared when I DID an actual application. The book goes over safety of river entry/exit, impact of current/rapids,slippery bottom/rocks. I can NOT tell you what the book fails to address. I CAN tell you that I had more fun than I can tell you, received a few compliments from other anglers, and that I was well prepared and practiced to get the most from my Yellowstone fly fishing experience. As far as I know, I was fully informed.
