It's the year 3,046 and 16-year-old River-Jo York Safar lives in Skyopeia, a seeming paradise in the sky. People have been able to live there since the scientists at the Centralized Leadership Of United Development (C.L.O.U.D) figured out that pouring chemicals on the clouds would make them harder and bounceable. Up in the sky, there's less gravity, and everything seems to float just a little bit. All River-Jo has ever known is C.L.O.U.D making everyone's lives perfect with their products and way of life. Then, one night, while walking home from a school dance, they discover something illegal in an alley that causes all reality around them to unravel. The more they investigate, the more murky and devastating secrets are revealed. Then, things escalate dramatically as a mythological storm blows through the sky, pushing River-Jo off of Skyopeia and into the unknown world below. As River-Jo tries to find their way back home, they are faced with the hardest decision of their life: return home and accept C.L.O.U.D's devious lies or risk their life to save the people they love the most?
