Great content for such a modest book

Yes, its a small little book. But it has a wealth of information. I have several other more advanced and lengthier tomes on framing. However, this book packs far and away more matting variations in it than any of the other books. It is really a great source of well illustrated ideas for matting. However, its really not about making your own frames. It assumes you've bought frames that you want to mount pictures in. If you want a book about making frames buy The Home Book of Picture Framing. It gives you a woodworkers view of making frames. Even though that book is about five times the size of this little gem, its ideas for matting are far more limited.

I'm new at matting and I found this book (along with one other) to be my two most referenced books on the topic. Great pictures!
