Two decorated NYPD detectives with access to the department's most sensitive information, Louie Eppolito and Steve Caracappa sold their badges to the Mafia--and became murderers for the mob. The most dangerous corrupt cops in American history, they left behind a pile of bodies when they retired in the early 1990s. For more than a decade it looked as if they were going to get away with it--until Detective Tommy Dades and Brooklyn Assistant DA Mike Vecchione turned a seemingly dead-end investigation into one of New York City's greatest law-and-order stories. For the first time, the complete and shocking truth can be told of the historic case that rocked the world of law enforcement.
I found this Book in my Local "BOOKS A MILLION" Bookstore and it was a Wonderful read .I have to admit I had read in other Books the Basic Story of some of the Major Players "GASSPIPE" Anthony Casso ...Feldman the Federal Prosecutor and other members of Organized Crime,But it was very well presented and edited perfectly ...it Flowed and was hard to put down .How lucky we are to have Honorable Law Enforcement officers like Tommy Dades and his Partner who pursued this case with the Tenacity of two Starving Pitbulls chasing a Tender loin .The Intuitive Mistrust by Tommy Dades of the Federal Prosecutors was Amazingly on the Money ...it's nice to read when Good Prevails over EVIL.....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
