I highly recommend Kevin's book. I have had many friends of mine tell me that they know how to "discern what a problem is" in some one else, but inevitably they always say, "but I don't know how to help them". Discipleship is never an easy formula, but Kevin lays out an incredible example of how to speak life changing words to someone who is hurting. Once you're through reading this book, you will feel such an incredible sense of responsibility to really speak "Words of Life" into people who come to you for advice or other help. It's not just a book for pastors and counselors, but anyone who claims to be a follower of Jesus. Each chapter ends with introspective questions that force you to look inside your own heart to really help you wrestle through issues that you yourself may be struggling through.
