#1 NATIONAL BESTSELLER - NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - OPRAH'S BOOK CLUB PICK - Born to an American myth and raised in the wilds of Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley tells her whole story for the first time in this raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir faithfully completed by her daughter, Riley Keough. A PEOPLE BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them. About getting dragged screaming out of the bathroom as she ran toward his body on the floor. About living in Los Angeles with her mother, getting sent to school after school, always kicked out, always in trouble. About her singular, lifelong relationship with Danny Keough, about being married to Michael Jackson, what they had in common. About motherhood. About deep addiction. About ever-present grief. Riley knew she had to fulfill her mother's wish to reveal these memories, incandescent and painful, to the world. To make her mother known. This extraordinary book is written in both Lisa Marie's and Riley's voices, a mother and daughter communicating--from this world to the one beyond--as they try to heal each other. Profoundly moving and deeply revealing, From Here to the Great Unknown is a book like no other--the last words of the only child of an American icon.
FROM HERE TO THE GREAT UNKNOWN by Lisa Marie Presley & Riley Keough
This was a brutally honest and eye opening memoir. Lisa Marie does not spare any words when it came to her childhood, her relationship with her famous father, her role as a parent or her addiction(s).
Processing grief and loss, mental health and living with generational trauma are at the heart of this book. It’s tragic and heartbreaking for all involved.
Riley has honored the memory of her mother in such a poignant and heartwarming way. I really liked her insights and the context she provided throughout the book.
Overall, this collaborative work is not just for the fans, there’s something here for everyone.
[ 🎧 : Highly recommended listening to the audiobook; excellent narration by Riley Keough and Julia Roberts. Also loved hearing the snippets of Lisa Marie’s recordings. ]

First off, I loved the different fonts and how they used them to tell Lisa Marie's story and Riley's story. I loved their separate stories within one extraordinary book. There are many facts told in this book that were very eye opening and very heart breaking about Lisa Marie and Riley. They both have lived extraordinary lives, along with extraordinary traumas. This story is proof that you can be famous and have it all and still not have it all. This story made me laugh, smile, and even cry. This book is enjoyable even for the Non Elvis or Lisa Marie fan.

I read this book in two days. It's written in both Lisa Marie's and Riley's own words and they did not hold back. It just goes to show that the grass in not always greener on the other side of the fence. Highly recommended.
Heart wrenching

A deep look into the private life of Lisa Marie Presley. The good times, bad times and the ugly times of her life. Her daughter, Riley does an excellent job co-writting it and fills in a lot of gaps. If you're an Elvis fan, this book is a "must" for your collection. I highly recommend it.
