Kimberly Tyson is just like any other young, black woman stuck in the 'hood. She wants nothing, but out Living in the slums just wasn't her ideal of a good life. She needed and wanted more. After birthing her first child she struggles to make ends meet, while her greedy, abusive, boyfriend and baby's daddy, "Monty" is no help at all. Even as a high profile drug dealer, Monty penny pinches when it comes to Kim and his Baby boy Kardy. Frustrated with Monty constantly being cheap, beating her, running the streets, and sleeping around, Kimberly feels pressed to leave him; baby daddy or not, he had to go She wanted her firstborn to be raised the right way and not by some loser of a man like Monty. Things seem to take a turn for the worse when both of Kimberly's brothers get locked up. She decides to take on the burden of scraping money together to bail them out. After Monty denies her the money, luckily his friend and business partner "Fresh" serves as a safety net, and loans Kimberly what she needs. Someone is watching her closely from the shadows as the streets turn hot and murder swarms. Strangely, a string of unfortunate events lead Kimberly to a gold mine that seemed to be easy pickings. Feeling lucky at first about the so called blessing she received, Kimberly never realizes there would be a fatal price to pay for it.
