This is a book with very clear photos and instructions -- I was actually able to use it for workouts that were effective and fun. Having some prior exposure to yoga and kickboxing may have been helpful. There's a lot of info on safe techniques and other aspects of overall fitness.

I picked this up in a book store for only $5 and was impressed with my bargin. This book has it all, from diet to weight loss to meditation - in relation to martial arts. It is full of photos so for those like me who love looking at pictures, this is a must! What this book is, is a series of martial arts workouts, each designed for a specific task. For instance "the healing hand" is a chapter on relieving tension, etc, and is presented with a number of stretches. On the other hand, the Hi Chi workout is designed to get the heart pumping and the calories burning!!QUite simply, I can not think of what more I would expect for a book on fitness. It covers all the bases, it has pictures to follow, and ready made workouts. Which is why I give it 5 stars!
