This rollicking tale mixes fact and fiction with dozens of FBI photos for a somewhat romantic look at the 1930s gangsters. Included are such notorious figures as Al Capone, John Dillinger, Baby Face... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Hollatz has assembled an absolutely delightful collection of photos, guides to Little Bohemia and the other retreats, and wonderful, if only occasionally questionable, local anecdotes on Al Capone, Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, Roger Touhy and all the classic bad guys of the good ole days who vacationed in Wisconsin. A rat-a-tat must-have for fans of the classic Midwest gangsters of the '20's and '30's.

Tom Hollatz' book "Gangster Holiday's, The Lore and the legend of the bad guys" is on the top of my list. Gangster Holiday's brings out the facts on Gangsters and their many visits to the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. I give this book 5 stars and a Rat-a-tat-tat from a Thompson Machinegun. Great book!
