Why are so many women eager to kindle or re-kindle their interest in sex and get the satisfaction they deserve? Sandra Leiblum, Ph.D. and Judith Sachs have been to the trenches to talk to women of all... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a really good book. The writing is entertaining and clear. The information is comprehensive and thorough. It's a pleasure to read, but it's a serious and subtantial book (unlike a lot of the competition). There is no other book on the market quite like it.An especially good feature is the way the book addresses issues and problems specific to women in many different situations and ages of life. The discussion of up-to-date treatments for sexual problems is well-informed, and offers a balanced appraisal of their effectiveness.Recommended.
Helpful. Clear. Classy.

I must have reached some wild Auntie Mame stage: I have now read a book about sex that I thought was so good I bought a copy for my nineteen-year-old daughter. This book was a wonderful read: for me at fifty-two (and suffering from two misconceptions: 1. I already knew everything; and 2. It's time to prepare to enjoy sexuality less, not more), and for young women. I wish I could have read it thirty years ago. I'm glad I've read it now.
Highly readable, informative and useful

This book conveys hope, understanding and specific ways to increase pleasure. The inclusion of experiences of women at all life stages made the book readable and accessible. As a woman going through menopause, the most helpful chapters for me were a discussion of women in midlife, cosmetic surgery ("will it make you sexier?") and "how to spark desire." The chapters on cybersex and new medications to enhance sex were also very informative and interesting.

I grew up with inaccurate and uncomfortable views and thoughts about sex. I can relate to what Sandra Leiblum and Judith Sachs are talking about in the first part of the book. The second part is the part that helps you to move on.This is the most up to date book I have ever seen on this subject because it covers web stuff (a nice, anonymous outlet for us girls shy about sex) and the latest medical options. It deals with real examples from sex therapy and it doesn't cost $150 an hour! This book has helped me to move forward sexually, and that's a pretty tall order! Leiblum and Sachs have written an informative book that is bound to help many women. This is THE definitive book to have!

I have read several books by Judith Sachs and find this one the best so far!! "Healing Power of Sex" changed my life and saved my marriage. This book opened my eyes to further enhancements to our love and sex life. "Getting the Sex you Want" has helped me to cope with past issues, heal sexually and enable me to be free to express my needs/desires and explore the pleasure of my body and spirit! A must read!!!
