Twenty-five years after a sadistic killer snuffed out the lives of several of the children in her town, eleven-year-old Joely is befriended by a strange boy who claims he knows who the killer... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This was the first book of Jean Simon's I had ever read, and I have to say that it left a very good impression on me. It's a story about a young girl, Joely, who meets a ghost in the cemetery. Most stories that feature ghosts can get pretty complicated at times - but Simon's tale of murder, mystery, tragedy, and triumph is beautifully woven together. The storytelling was easy to follow - no stupid purple prose from this author. I highly recommend it to anybody who likes to read a good mystery-ghost story.
