After a long hiatus between mangas (considering the anime box set will release in just a couple of weeks), this next instalment is extremely welcome, and long overdue! All the clever charm and spine-tingling that made the earlier manga sparkle is back in spades. You'll slide right into one of the benchmark paranormal situations at which Inada and Ono (and, thus their cast) excel. However, there's an added complexity this time: the team risks losing Naru, the genius behind Shibuya Psychic Research Center (SPR), and everything they've worked for. Whether you're a fan of manga or not, if you are interested in the art and science of the supernatural, grab this series. The twists, turns, and the chaos of these haunted places could only be offset by Naru's almost Holmesian empiricism and his sheer willpower. The story could have no better narrator than the young, strong, neophyte hunter, Mai. Grab this series and prepare to feel a chill in the room. Shiho Inada and Fuyumi Ono haven't missed a beat.
