About two lesbian partners and their hard personal toil
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 20 years ago
Ginger's Fire is an impressively written novel about Ginger and Nellie -- two lesbian partners who through hard personal toil have revitalized a beautiful old farmhouse in the Catskill Mountains. But as their house came together, their relationship faded. When the house is destroyed in a fire they move apart as one of them feels she must embark on a spiritual journey to better understand herself, her passions, and to ready herself for the choices that will determine her ultimate destiny. Also available in a hardcover edition, Ginger's Fire is a highly recommended addition to community library collections.

Maureen Brady is a terrific writer and Ginger's Fire totally engaged me from beginning to end. So much so that I was sorry to have to part from the characters when I reached the novel's end. I found the book to be exceptionally courageous, original and sexy! One woman's journey into increased self-actualization that can inspire all of us on the path of getting honest in our lives.

This is a wonderful book! Maureen Brady is a terrific writer and this novel is courageous and inspiring. From the first words I was drawn into the protagonist's world and her journey into self-awareness. "Ginger's Fire" is an intimate story that resonates with authenticity. Thoughtful, insightful, sexy. The characters came to life and I was sorry to complete the book and have to leave them. I heartily recommend this selection to any woman who cares about getting honest, growing, and cultivating a loving relationship with self and others. In other words to us all!!!
